Warranty – Your Fundamental Right

In Europe, customers are entitled to a statutory warranty, which covers all physical or legal defects of the purchased product. This means that if the product you receive:

  • Is damaged,
  • Does not function as described,
  • Fails to fulfill its basic purpose,
    you have the right to file a claim under the warranty.

Duration of the warranty:

  • The statutory warranty is typically valid for 2 years from the date of receiving the product.
  • If a defect is discovered within the first 12 months, it is presumed to have existed at the time of purchase, unless the seller can prove otherwise.

Your options under the warranty:

  • Repair of the product.
  • Replacement with a new item.
  • Price reduction.
  • Withdrawal from the contract (if the defect is significant).

The choice is yours, although the seller may first propose a repair or replacement.

2. Manufacturer’s Guarantee – Additional Protection

In addition to the statutory warranty, some products may come with a manufacturer’s guarantee. This is an additional service provided by the manufacturer, offering the possibility of repair or replacement under the terms specified in the guarantee card.

Important notes:

  • The manufacturer’s guarantee is voluntary and depends on the product supplier – details can be found in the documents accompanying the product or in its description.
  • The manufacturer’s guarantee does not exclude or limit your statutory warranty rights. You can use both protections simultaneously.
